Fits permit gel casting to be done in the gel tray using an accessory horizontal gel caster or by sealing ends of the tray with tape. Units feature buffer recirculation ports for easy maintenance and reduced buffer changes. The platinum electrode is shielded from the buffer for protection and to provide a uniform field across the width of the gel. The UV transparent gel trays are 6mm (1/4") thick, preventing heat distortion during application of hot agarose, and are equipped with four agarose anchors. Safety features include a safety cover with interlocking power leads and safety tip power leads.
