White solid.Antibiotic effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Blocks cell wall formation in growing cells, resulting in accumulation of uracil nucleotides of muramic acid peptides. Acts at the final stage of cell wall synthesis and prevents cross-linking of peptidoglycan strands. Suggested concentration is 100units/mL. Activity: >=1500units/mg dry weight. One unit is equivalent to 0.6µg of penicillin G.
