Flexible Couplings provide a safe and convenient alternative for working with glass stirring shafts. Length of 10.2cm (4") allows for angular and parallel misalignment of glass shaft without danger of breakage. One end of coupling contains a corrosion-resistant standard metal collar with a stainless steel set screw for fastening to the stirrer shaft. Collar fits into a neoprene rubber sleeve body that accepts a replaceable fluoropolymer resin sleeve with set screw. Fluoropolymer resin sleeve securely holds a glass shaft of 10mm (³/₈") or 19mm (³/₄") diameter. Rubber sleeve body absorbs shock and provides vibration-free, quiet-running and great torsional stiffness. Corrosion-resistant metal collar, neoprene rubber and stainless steel set screw provide long life in difficult environments. Only fluoropolymer resin sleeve makes contact with glass shaft.
