These plates are made of 99.9% pure virgin polypropylene and specifically designed for PCR applications. Each plate is segmented in three places, permitting it to be cut into four 3x8-well sections. Plates are ideal for thermal transfer applications because their ultra-thin walls accelerate heat transfer to provide shorter cycles. The plates are certified by lot number to be RNase-, DNase-, and pyrogen-free.

Optional AxyMat* silicone sealing mat (10011-130) is autoclavable and freezable, as well as pierceable and self-sealing to prevent escape of evaporated aerosols and pathogens during normal use or storage. It has an alphanumeric grid system for 96-well plates.
