These hot plates feature a high-wattage heating element for fast boiling and a large, precise, easy-to-read digital display. Temperature settings are adjustable in 5° increments, and are consistent, repeatable, and accurate, due to optimized microprocessor-controlled feedback. A unique hot-surface alert “CAUTION! HOT TOP” illuminates in red when the temperature rises above 50°C (122°F). When the heat is turned off, the digital display alternately flashes the alerts, “Hot” and “Off” until the heating surface has cooled to below 50°C. A power indicator light illuminates whenever power is applied to the control.

Ceramic tops are solid and seamless, formed from a high-performance engineered material that offers high impact strength, acid and alkali resistance, an extremely uniform level surface for maximum heat transfer, and a reflective, bright white color to enhance visibility. Optional aluminum tops provide maximum heat transfer and excellent uniformity of top plate temperature. The solid, low profile design provides stability and reduces chances for tipping and spilling. Rugged cast aluminum body for optimum stability. Drip edge under top plate channels spilled liquid away from knob and interior components.

The 120V models are CSA certified. The 240V models are CE marked.
