Compact cryogenic storage systems feature durable construction and advanced vacuum insulation to minimize liquid nitrogen (LN2) evaporation for economical operation. Temperature uniformity assures that samples are stored at -180°C (-292°F) even when the vessel contains less than 5cm (2") of LN2. Vessels feature a secure locking clasp to prevent unauthorized access. Unique arrangement of numbered racks can be used with indexed boxes for tracking and easy sample retrieval. Racks accommodate 13.3x13.3cm (51/4x51/4") boxes, which are sold separately. Systems are suitable for manual and computerized inventory methods.

Liquid nitrogen level monitors provide an early warning of low level conditions, with constant indication of LN2 as well as audible and visual alarms. LED level indicator panel indicates LN2 volume in 1/8 increments. Indicator light flashes when LN2 level approaches 5cm (2"). Alarm sounds when level approaches 2.5cm (1"). Low frequency microprocessor-controlled ultrasonics eliminate contact with LN2, reducing LN2 evaporation. Electrical: 120V.

Storage vessel transporter (55709-866) 4-wheel cart reduces the risk of accidental spillage or tipping of vessels.
