Designed for the heating and stirring of fluids. Solid-state circuitry provides an independently-switched stirring feature within the mantle. An electromagnetic field rotates a PTFE-covered stirring bar that is placed in the flask. Stirring can be single- or bi-directional and includes automatic capture and re-capture. Variable speed control up to 520rpm. Ventilation slots beneath and around the rim of the polypropylene case ensure a low case temperature. The stainless steel screen covering the heating element is grounded directly to the supply cable. Maximum element temperature: 450°C (840°F). Clamp for a 1.27cm (¹/₂") diameter support rod included.
