This specially treated CO2 resistant orbital shaker withstands up to 10% CO2, making it ideal for continuous use in CO2 cell culture incubators. Electrical and mechanical components have been treated to protect them from CO2 and humidity, which prevents reaction with electrical components and the formation of carbolic acid.

Unit operates in temperature ranges of 0 to 40°C (32 to 104°F) and noncondensing humidity conditions from 20 to 95%, enabling it to be used in CO2 incubators. Triple eccentric drive enables continuous 24-hour operation, handles heavier loads, and provides smooth, uniform agitation of full or unbalanced loads, even at high speeds.

Shaker features a solid state DC brushless motor, variable speed control from 15 to 500rpm, and continuous and timed operation from 0.1 to 999 minutes or 0.1 to 999 hours. Speed and operating time may be viewed simultaneously on two individual LED displays to help minimize error. Displayed time counts up during operation and down during timed runs. Shaker shutdown and audible/visual alarms signal if unit operates ±10% of set speed, preventing shaker from walking. Load capacity can be adjusted by selecting from three suitable platform sizes: 38x28cm (11x13"), 46x46cm (18x18"), or 46x61cm (18x24"). An unbalanced load sensor stops platform motion when excess vibration is detected, and the audible/visual alarm signal continues until condition is corrected. Soft-start feature eliminates splashing and set point retention retains parameters during power failure and restarts unit automatically after power is restored. RS-232 interface allows remote monitoring of speed and time.
