The RS9000 Heater/Shaker was designed to meet the needs of scientists in the fields of combinatorial chemistry, chemical synthesis, biotechnology, process development and optimization. Ideal for parallel organic synthesis, denaturation, enzyme assays, sample concentration and incubations.

Heating and shaking takes place in one compact instrument. Reactions or incubations are performed in a removable reaction block (sold separately) that fits securely into the heated platform which rotates in a circular orbit for efficient mixing of the reactants. The required temperature and agitation speed is programmed using the front panel which has a bright backlit LCD that reads actual temperature and rpm. Agitation begins with a soft-start (allows 0 to 10 minutes to reach full agitation speed) to minimize sample damage. RS232/485 interface offers full remote control, allowing unattended operation, speed variation and temperature ramping over user-defined time periods. When integrated within robotic workstations, an auto-park feature ensures that tubes always stop on the same X-Y coordinate for accurate alignment.
