Urine collection tubes and kits are easy-to-use, and ideal for microbiology and urinalysis applications. The BD Vacutainer* urine culture and sensitivity (C&S) transport tube helps prevent overgrowth without causing toxicity to existing pathogens. Sterile, plastic tube with preservative maintains urine in its original state for up to 48 hours at room temperature. The tube has a minimum fill line at 3mL to prevent underfilling and is mercury-free. The C&S transfer straw kit contains a 4mL, 13x75mm C&S tube and a nonsterile transfer straw, which eliminates the need for pouring and ensures a proper urine-to-additive ratio. The C&S cup kit contains a sterile screw-cap collection cup with integrated transfer device, a 4mL, 13x75mm C&S tube, and castile soap towelettes. The plastic collection cup is graduated to indicate a volume of 120mL or 4.5oz. of urine. The cup’s integrated transfer device allows for the transfer of urine to one or more tubes without exposure to the specimen.

Both complete kits are supplied with a sterile screw-cap collection cup with integrated transfer device, castile soap towelettes, and a sterile 4mL, 13x75mm C&S tube. Kit BD364956 also contains a sterile 8mL, 16x100mm plastic conical tube for urinalysis; kit BD364957 contains a sterile 8mL, 16x100mm plastic conical tube with UA preservative for urinalysis.
