These unique desiccators provide much more storage in a single chamber than traditional plastic or glass vacuum desiccator units. Up to 65L (4000cu.in.) of storage space can be used to safeguard standards, samples, electronics, or other high-value items. Contents can be easily viewed at 360° through the unit's clear polycarbonate top and bottom. Laboratory-grade plastic material is resistant to most common chemicals, cleans easily, and will not corrode.

Side handles allow easy carrying and interconnect to prevent displacement of the dome top when not under vacuum. The handles also provide the ability to lock the desiccator or for the placement of tamper-evident seals. A molded-in ring allows the dome top to rest safely when removed and inverted on the lab bench. Safety locator pins help prevent the top half from slipping. Two round 22.5cm (8⁷/₈") and 36.5cm (14³/₈") diameter polypropylene shelves maximize storage capacity and can be lifted out for easy access. Desiccator drying material can also be used on or under the lower shelf when vacuum is not required.

High-strength desiccators will hold a full vacuum of 737mm Hg (29in. Hg) at room temperature for 24 hours and will remain airtight even if under vacuum. With an application of vacuum grease, the supplied gasket provides a tight seal to as low as 0°C (32°F). A polypropylene stopcock has a PTFE resin plug that turns easily and provides a slow, turbulence-free airway for minimal disturbance of contents. Stopcock has a high-visibility red handle and accepts 6.4mm (¹/₄") I.D. tubing.
