This easy-to-use unit provides a repeatable -1°C per minute cooling rate needed to successfully preserve cells. Controlled cooling requires 250mL of 100% isopropyl alcohol and a -70°C (-94°F) freezer. Clear polycarbonate container is supplied with a high-density polyethylene screw-thread closure. A removable polyethylene 18-well vial holder with a center grip separates the vials from the alcohol. The vial holder is surrounded by a plastic foam insert.
