These racks are designed to float samples incubating in a waterbath or beaker. Tubes are kept immersed at a constant depth regardless of water level. They have 19mm (³/₄") long legs and a 31.2mm (1¹/₄") handle to facilitate transport. They are available with holes to fit 1.5 or 2.5mL microcentrifuge tubes, with 8 or 20 holes and with or without a polypropylene cover plate. TPX racks are made of polymethylpentene.
