For easy and continuous vacuum aspiration of a variety of liquids including tissue culture media, wash solutions, supernatant fluids after centrifugation, and chemical waste. Consists of a heavy-walled 2L (64oz.) polypropylene collection bottle housed in an epoxy-coated steel wire cage, a secondary vacuum trap, and flexible collection tubing. The collection bottle safely retains up to 1500mL (45oz.) of fluid while the attached trap protects the vacuum source from accidental fluid backflow. The flexible collection tubing accepts Pasteur pipets, regular pipets, or pipettor tips approximately 0.70mm in diameter for work with petri dishes, microtiter plates, flasks, and centrifuge tubes. The small footprint of the wire cage supports the collection bottle and the secondary vacuum trap without overcrowding the work space.

All components can withstand 686mm (27") of mercury vacuum and are steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F). (Bel-Art 199170001)
