This centrifuge is capable of handling virtually any benchtop application in such facilities as physician’s offices, small laboratories, insurance examiners, teaching labs, and R&D laboratories. Centrifuge features continuous operation or timed operation via the electronic timer. Rotor has a 49° angle of rotation, holds six 10-15mL tubes or six 16x125mL tubes, and can accommodate BD Vacutainer* tubes. Centrifuge is constructed of high-impact ABS and Lexan* for years of rigorous use.

The Octacool* cooling system assures operating temperatures reach only a few degrees higher than ambient temperature regardless of how long the unit runs, extending the motor’s life and eliminating problems caused by excessive heat. Transparent Lexan lid with safety interlock minimizes exposure to biohazards such as aerosols. Centrifuge has no exposed moving parts and a sealed dome shield for added safety. Lexan tube holders are easily removed and sterilized, and a self-contained one-piece head prevents tubes from falling through.
