Constructed from tough 5052 anodized aluminum alloy with tamperproof locking tabs, hasp is impossible to remove while lock is still in place. Front and back of hasp feature a write-on surface that accepts pencil, pen, or marker. Markings can be easily erased allowing for repeated use. Each hasp has six lock holes, 0.8cm (⁵/₁₆") in diameter. Front legend reads: “DO NOT OPERATE. This lock/tag may only be removed by:” followed by space for writing name, department, and expected completion. Back legend reads: “DANGER. This energy source has been LOCKED OUT.
