The Syncore Reactor system is designed to provide high efficiency and maximum flexibility for parallel and combinatorial synthesis. The highly versatile and modular system offers the convenience of performing the reaction and work-up stage without sample handling. Incorporating features such as cooling, refluxing, inert conditions, solvent dispensing, solid-phase chemistry, filtration, liquid-liquid extraction, and evaporation, the Reactor system operates as a useful tool in a wide array of applications.
The system's platform provides basic functions such as shaking, heating, and cooling. A horizontal orbital movement produces a strong vortex in sample tubes, preventing bumping during operation. Temperature profiles can be preprogrammed in timed stages or manually set and adjusted. Systems are available without condenser, with a P+G-coated standard condenser for tap water, or with a P+G-coated cold trap for dry ice cooling. Systems are also available without a receiving flask, or with the option of a 1L or 2L P+G-coated round flask.
Systems are available with differing modules (Reflux, Inert Gas, and Filtration) to suit different applications. The exchangeable septa in these modules permit freedom in manual solvent addition under inert conditions. The Reflux Module works with tap water or a recirculating chiller to cool the tubes. The Inert Gas Module accommodates gas inlets and outlets for air- or moisture-sensitive reactions. The Filtration Module permits the simultaneous filtration of 24 solution or solid-phase reactions. It also allows simultaneous solvent addition under inert conditions from a standard laboratory dispenser, as well as washing, filtration, parallel solvent dispensing, and liquid-liquid extraction.
