Use for Western blotting or SDS-PAGE separations. These gels are designed to fit in the Dual Cool Mini-Vertical/Blotting System (CBDCX-700) and other units that take 10x10 cassette sizes. The unique cross-linked polyacrylamide gels are combined with a small amount of agarose in plastic 10x10cm cassettes, making each gel about 10X stronger than traditional gels. In addition to being more resistant to cracking and tearing, these precast gels provide sharp, clean, consistently straight bands with excellent resolution. Gels also feature acrylamide fingers extending above the cassette to prevent carry-over from the outside of the pipet when loading, as well as improved stacking so that 1mm gels have the same sensitivity as traditional 1.5mm gels. Store at 4°C (39°F) for up to two years from date of manufacture.
