These gel casters simplify pouring sequencing gels into six easy steps and have the capability to adjust gel size to many dimensions. This sliding plate technique can be accomplished in a matter of minutes and eliminates time-consuming and often unreliable use of yellow tape, clamps, or plasticine. Trapped air bubbles or acrylamide leakage are eliminated by utilizing capillary action to advance the gel boundary, resulting in bubble-free gels. Both preparation and clean-up time are greatly reduced.
Both models feature a telescoping width adjustment allowing the user to pour gels from 20-38cm (77/8-15") in width. Caster can create gels as thin as 50µm (0.05mm).
