Elutes and concentrates macromolecules simultaneously from acrylamide or agarose gels. Typical applications include recovery of proteins from SDS-acrylamide gels and of restriction enzyme-treated DNA from agarose gels.

Eluter/concentrator blocks are designed to cut down on sample/membrane surface area contact, allowing a great improvement of sample recovery percentages over other techniques. Each eluter/concentrator consists of a precision-machined sample migration channel and two silicone-fluoropolymer resin washer/open-top cap assemblies for holding dialysis membranes securely in place. Each unit also includes four eluter/concentrator blocks; choose from 2.0 or 5.0mL loading chamber capacity.

A mirrored chamber bottom simplifies detection and removal of bubbles under eluter block caps. Platinum electrodes are mounted and shielded to guide bubbles evolved during electrophoresis, reducing possible blockage of current. Safety cover over buffer tank reduces buffer evaporation over long-term electrophoresis. Three-chamber buffer cycling system eliminates the need to change buffer and eliminates pH gradient build up during long-term electrophoresis.
