A leakproof gasket for sealing glass plate sandwiches during gel casting.

Gel Wrap gaskets perform two applications simultaneously: gripping the back glass plate making it easier to handle, and sealing the spacers. Its basic shape is a “U” with hollow compressible tubing attached. The “U” shape friction fits around the perimeter of the 0.3cm (¹/₈") back glass plate holding the gasket in place, while the attached tubing surrounds the spacers and acts as a leakproof barrier once the top glass plate is clamped into place. The bottom corners of the back glass plate must be rounded for use with Gel Wrap to ensure the corners maintain a leakproof seal. Made of long-lasting silicone and can be reused many times.
