Model 300 hydrocarbon trap is a high-pressure metal cylinder filled with 500mL of activated charcoal, one of the most effective adsorbents for organics and hydrocarbons. Removes all hydrocarbons at room temperature, except methane, from FID air. Recommended for use with purge and trap apparatuses and with GC carrier gases for trace analyses. The maximum operating pressure is 1000psig, and the highest efficiency is obtained using flow rates below 500mL/min. Frits in each end prevent fines from entering the gas stream.

Model 300 is delivered filled with helium and should be purged before use. The trap can be regenerated by heating under reversed gas flow with N₂ or He. Model 300 comes with ¹/₈" or ¹/₄" fittings.
