Plates are ideal for applications including immobilization of small peptides, small antigens, ssDNA, dsDNA, glycoproteins, glycolipids, and molecules of unknown structure.
Plates feature surface which covalently couples to biomolecules. DNA-BIND* surfaces allow covalent immobilization to amine groups, and are ideal for DNA, proteins, and small peptides. Carbo-BIND* surfaces allow covalent immobilization to CHO moieties, and are ideal for antibodies and FAB fragments. Sulfhydryl-BIND* surfaces allow covalent immobilization to sulfhydryl groups and are ideal for biomolecules possessing an accessible sulfhydryl group. Universal-BIND* surfaces provide covalent immobilization via UV crosslinking, and are ideal for biomolecules with an abstractable hydrogen. Amine surfaces are hydrophobic and positively charged, and are ideal for small, negatively charged biomolecules.
Covalent surfaces are produced by a proprietary post-molding treatment that covalently couples reactive groups to polystyrene. Covalent immobilization increases long-term stability and can greatly increase sensitivity. Plates are ready-to-use; no crosslinking agents are required.
