General-purpose heel grounders strap over the heel of standard shoes and provide a continuous ground path between operator and properly grounded ESD-safe flooring. The straps are adjustable to fit individual wearers and have a special brick-red lining that prevents carbon marks from marring shoes. Discrete resistors are built into the contact strip; 26902-618 has a 1megohm resistor and 26911-942 has a 2megohm resistor. The 61cm (24") blue nylon ribbon contains eight electrically conductive carbon-suffused fibers and is reversible so that it may be placed on either side of the foot. Hook and loop fasteners secure heel strap to the foot quickly and easily. Manufacturer recommends that two heel straps be used for optimum grounding and ESD protection.
