Designed to provide over 15 minutes of protection from toxic gases, including nerve/blood agents and tear gas. Hood can be easily donned and allows for easy and clear communication. Hood system provides an assigned protection factor (APF) of 1000 according to OSHA standards, effective filtering capability, and protection from CO₂ buildup. Hood is made of Tyvek* Type F material and has been effectively tested for shock and vibration, package impact, visor fogging, and temperature to ensure that it is ready for immediate, emergency use. Lens is treated with an anti-misting agent to maintain 80% of natural field of vision. The neck seal is made of soft, stretchable rubber for comfort and adjustability. The P100 integrated combination canister has the appropriate media for filtering biological, radiological, and nuclear agents. A layer of ASZM-TEDA carbon is included to filter gas and vapors.
