Specifically designed for tissue homogenization. Sparkless, shaded-pole, 1/10hp motor has continuously variable transmission that provides a constant torque throughout 0-400rpm speed range. The 1cm (3/8") output shaft provides rotation for screw chuck through a flexible coupling allowing operation at various angles which reduces breakage of glassware. Included 9.5mm (3/8") fixed coupling is used when application of side pressure to pestle and mortar is required. Knurled handwheel gives a counter support grip when tightening the chuck, which accepts up to 12.7mm (1/2") dia. shaft. Integral clamp permits direct mounting on a support up to 19.1mm (3/4") diameter.
