White solid. HYGROSCOPIC. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. A phosphatidylinositol ether analog that potently and selectively inhibits Akt (PKB) with an IC₅₀ of 5.0 ± 1.7 mM. Inhibits phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI 3-K) only weakly (IC₅₀ = 83.0 ± 21 mM). Also inhibits the growth of various cancer cell lines with IC₅₀ values in the 1 - 10 mM range. Purity: ³95% by NMR.
