Similar to its binding to Cdks, the indirubin derivative binds to GSK-3b’s ATP-binding pocket. GSK-3b, along with Cdk5, is responsible for most of the abnormal hyperphosphorylation of the microtubule-binding protein tau observed in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Purity: ³97% by HPLC.
