Pale yellow solid. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. A specific non-cell-permeable inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatase. Inhibits dephosphorylation activity of CD45 (IC₅₀ = 54 mM) and VHR (vaccinia H1-related; IC₅₀ = 2.0 mM) in vitro. Also inhibits cell cycle progression of Ball-1 cells at the G₁/S transition and enhances ATP-induced long-term potentiation in guinea-pig hippocampal CA1 neurons. Purity: ³98% by TLC.
