These self-contained, laminar flow clean benches feature a modular design with an airflow pattern that offers the non-aspirating action of vertical flow while retaining the positive work protection of horizontal flow. Clean benches provide an ISO Class 5 (FED-STD-209E Class 100/M3.5) work environment by utilizing an aerosol-challenged HEPA filter rated 99.99% efficient at 0.3µm or larger. A 30% ASHRAE disposable prefilter is included to extend the life of the HEPA filter.

Modules feature an all-stainless steel interior that includes fluorescent lighting and a shielded ultraviolet lamp to sterilize the work surface when the cabinet is not in use. For user protection, the ultraviolet lamp cannot be operated when the fluorescent light is in use. All modules also include a stainless steel IV rod, a covered duplex electrical outlet, a color-keyed airflow meter, and a solid-state speed control with RFI suppression for adjusting the airflow velocity.
