Flexible, self-contained workstations provide versatility for a variety of vertical laminar flow applications. Workstations feature HEPA filters to provide an ISO Class 5 (FED-STD-209E Class 100/M3.5) work environment. The HEPA filters have an aluminum frame and a minimum efficiency of 99.99% at 0.3µm or larger. A 30% ASHRAE disposable prefilter is included to extend the life of the HEPA filter.

Workstations feature a negative pressure plenum design that utilizes a direct-drive continuous-duty motor with sealed-for-life bearings dynamically balanced and mounted on rubber-in-shear vibration isolators. The motor is designed to provide rated airflow through filter loading in excess of 50% over initial static pressure. The motor features solid-state speed control with RFI suppression for adjusting airflow velocity. Workstations feature recessed fluorescent lighting with an egg crate light diffuser that provides 100 foot-candles of illumination at the work surface.

The workstation frame is made of welded steel with a corrosion-resistant polyurethane enamel finish. Each unit has two removable acrylic side panels and a fixed acrylic back panel that is 10.2cm (4") shorter than the side panels, forming an exhaust slot. A hinged 38.1cm (15") high clear acrylic view screen covers the front of the unit. The view screen features a foam gasket to provide a seal when closed.

The table and its work surface are completely isolated from the air supply module and support stand to prevent vibration transfer. The work surface height is 82.3cm (32") from the ground. The work surface is constructed from a sheet of stainless steel laminated to a 1.9cm (³/₄") plywood subdeck that is coated with a moisture-resistant sealant. The support stand comes complete with leveling feet with neoprene caps on each leg and standard 9.5mm (³/₈") connecting hardware.
