These jugs were washed using the following cleaning procedure: Containers are washed in laboratory-grade, non-phosphate detergent; rinsed three times with water; rinsed with diluted nitric acid; rinsed three times with ASTM Type I organic-free water; air dried in a contaminate-free area; rinsed with hexane; rinsed three times with ASTM Type I organic-free water; oven-dried for one hour.

Level 1 jugs receive a full EPA quality assurance treatment. Containers are cleaned according to EPA wash procedures. Additional sampling custody seals for jug closures are included in each case. Each case is then custody-sealed. Jug is lot number labeled for traceability to the enclosed Certificate of Analysis.

Level 3 jugs do not receive an EPA washing treatment, and are ready for your own cleaning procedure. Containers are assembled and meet EPA recommended guidelines for sample container material component specifications.
