Polycarbonate tubes feature a contamination shield on a hinged lid that ensures a tight seal and allows the lid to click into a defined position of approximately 90°. Supplied with etched writing surfaces, these highly transparent tubes are designed with thin and even walls for temperature precision, a crucial factor in quality and speed of heat transfer. The 0.2mL tubes can be used with all thermal cyclers with 0.2mL block format. The 0.5mL tubes may be used with all thermal cyclers with 0.5mL block format.

The work tray for 96 tubes is placed in a frame to form a rack for 0.2mL tubes. Both tubes and trays can be autoclaved at 121°C (250°F) for 20 minutes. All tubes are certified to be free of any detectable human DNA, DNase, RNase, or PCR inhibitors.
