These columns deliver excellent peak shape for all analyte types, based on highly pure silica and a proprietary derivatization and endcapping procedure. They are equivalent to Thermo Scientific Hypersil* Gold C18 and C8 columns. The manufacturing process provides for an even surface which reduces the unwanted secondary and tertiary interactions that can occur between analytes and the acidic silanols of the silica support. This significantly reduces peak tailing while retaining C18 (USP L1) selectivity. The benefits of this technology are improved resolution, efficiency, sensitivity, and confidence in the accuracy and quality of the analytical data. Good peak shape means greater sensitivity.
