These direct-driven freeze dryer pumps are designed for lyophilizing samples containing harsh chemicals including strong acids. Pumps handle mixtures containing TFA, TFA by-products, acetonitrile, HBr and HNO₃. Pumps are ideal for use in the final drying step of preparing heat-sensitive protein and peptide samples that were isolated using HPLC or column LC. Pumps are recommended for 12L or smaller freeze dryers.

Features include integral oil filtration system for continuous neutralization of acids, and a large oil capacity of approximately 1.5L (1.6 qts.) to dilute organic vapors and protect the pump oil during freeze drying runs. The UNIBARB* intake connections accept 11.1mm (⁷/₁₆") or 20.6mm (¹³/₁₆") I.D. vacuum hose. Pumps come with the high-purity DIRECTORR* Gold pump oil, which has excellent resistance to chemical attacks.

The 115V model is CSA certified. The 230V model is CE marked.
