This collection of reliable and economical anion exchange and reversed phase mini-columns provides rapid purification of samples from a wide range of biological fluids and culture media. The disposable polypropylene columns are designed for single use, eliminating the risk of sample carry-over or cross-contamination. The matrix consists of a ligand bound to silica via silyl ether linkage, encapped to minimize silanol interactions. The average particle size is 40µm, and the average pore size 60Å. Columns are suppliled prepacked in sealed pouches with detailed instructions for use, application recommendations, and a variety of protocols, each designed to give fast, valid results. Optimized for compatibility with selected Biotrak assays.
C2 Ethyl columns feature a nonpolar ligand, and are recommended for use in prostaglandin isolation from plasma, oligonucleotide purification, and tissue and cell culture applications.
C8 Octyl columns feature a nonpolar ligand and are recommended for use in drug/drug metabolite screening.
C18 Octadecyl columns feature a strongly nonpolar ligand offering reduced selectivity. They are recommended for use in the isolation of peptides from serum and plasma.
PH Phenyl columns feature a nonpolar ligand similar to C8, but offering different selectivity.
SAX Trimethyl Amino-Propyl columns feature an anion exchange ligand, a strong exchanger with a capacity of 0.7meq/g. They are recommended for use in the extraction of organic acids from urine and plasmid purification form bacterial cultures.
SI Silica columns feature a polar ligand that separates compounds of similar structure. They are recommended for use in structural isomer separation.
