These microplates meet the increasing demand for fast and simple methods to purify DNA from large vector (BAC) bacterial cultures. The clear polystyrene microplates feature a 0.45µm cellulose acetate membrane which clears nonchaotropic bacterial lysates and long drip directors to eliminate cross-talk between wells. Cellulose acetate acts as both a depth filter and fine particle filter, and will not bind DNA or protein. The DNA extracted is clean enough for further enzymatic manipulation without further purification. Well volume: 800µL. (Whatman 7700-2808)
