Heat odd lengths of glass tubes and metal pipes for both permanent and temporary applications with these heating tapes. The tapes are ideal for use in high-moisture areas, are resistant to most laboratory environmental conditions, and will easily pass a 1000V test for electrical insulation. Ribbon-type heating elements running lengthwise in the tape are encased in a durable glass braid and are impregnated and covered with tough silicone rubber. The glass braid and silicone rubber serve to insulate the stranded terminal leads at one end and waterproof the fittings at both ends. The attached cord has a two-blade plug and a single end termination. Temperature limit: 249°C (480°F).
