The 1700 series syringes feature PTFE-tipped plungers with replaceable syringe barrels, plungers, and plunger tips. All syringes feature a point style 3 with a blunt needle point cut at a 90° bevel for use with HPLC injection valves and for sample pipetting.

An “S” after the needle gauge denotes a small bore. A needle with a small bore carries less dead volume than a standard bore, and has a thicker wall which can be an advantage in piercing septa.
