MICROLITER* syringes, used for liquids, incorporate a stainless steel plunger that is individually fitted to a matching syringe barrel. MODIFIED MICROLITER* positive displacement syringes, also used for liquids, have a tungsten plunger wire that travels inside the needle. The needle acts as a syringe barrel. GASTIGHT* syringes, used for liquids or gases, have a precision-machined fluoropolymer resin plunger tip.

All three syringe types feature small bore needles which carry less dead volume than standard bores. The 23-gauge models are used for standard packed columns and split/splitless injections. The 26-gauge models are used for on-column injections and split/splitless injections. The 23/26-gauge needle combines the durability of a 23-gauge with the performance of a 26-gauge for split/splitless and on-column injections.
