For experiment methods optimization and large volume electroporation. Applications include the transfection of mammalian cells, the transformation of bacteria and yeast, cDNA library, and drug screening. This 96-well system allows the user to quickly and efficiently optimize the electrical and biological parameters associated with any electroporation experiment. System also features integrated electrodes. The plates allow the user to prepare and run an entire set of experiments at once. This approach minimizes sample and waste materials. Multiwell plates can be electroporated in less than 10 minutes.

Plate handlers are designed to operate in space-constrained areas such as laminar flow hoods. Handler features gold-plated contacts to mate with the electroporation plate and connectors for standard pulse generators.

Disposable electroporation lates are ideal for the transfection of mammalian cells, transformation of bacteria and yeast, and siRNA and cDNA library screening. Multiple samples can be run in seconds for rapid optimization of electroporation variables and high sample throughput. Integrated electrodes eliminate cross-contamination. Complete control over electroporation settings allows for a wide range of optimization flexibility. Economical plates require no expensive reagents, provide reliable results, and allow experiments to progress more quickly. The 25-well plates have a 5x5 format; the 96-well plates have the standard 8x12 format.

The footswitch (47733-168) for the ECM 830 generator functions in place of the start button, allowing hands-free operation when conducting in vivo and in ovo gene delivery or nuclear transfer and cloning. The 25-well plate adapter (82013-954) enables the 96-well system to accommodate 25-well plates.

Ordering Information: System 82013-948 comes complete with an auto-sense column switching plate handler, an ECM 830 generator, and two 96-well disposable optimizer plates. System 82020-024 comes complete with an ECM 830 square wave generator, an ECM 630 exponential decay generator, two cuvette safety stands, a sample pack of cuvettes, and a cuvette rack.
