The Nageotte hemocytometer is designed to allow users to manually count low leukocyte concentrations, specifically those beyond the capabilities of a standard hemocytometer. Two gridded counting areas are subdivided into 40 rectangular areas. Each of the two gridded areas has a volume of 50µL, for a total volume of 100µL per Nageotte chamber. Accurate measurements can be obtained down to 0.1cell/µL (100cell/mL). Cell depth is 0.5mm. An H-shaped moat separates the two gridded areas.

The Nageotte chamber is supplied with two reusable coverslips (30x33x0.5mm) and 0.5oz. (approx. 35pcs.) of disposable coverslips (30x33x0.15mm). Overall chamber dimensions: 32x75x5.5mm (1¹/₄x2¹⁵/₁₆x⁷/₃₂"). (Hausser 4000)
