Ideal for use in the environmental lab, the 2540EPK benchtop autoclave features an accelerated cycle time and a built-in printer for sterilization cycle validation, which both help in meeting EPA guidelines for sterilization cycle times. Autoclave may be used to sterilize liquids, media, instruments, glassware, clothing, and waste. A summary, printed at the end of each cycle, documents temperature, pressure, elapsed drying time, elapsed sterilization time, selected cycle, cycle number, real time and date, and any errors or interruptions that occurred at any point during the cycle. Autoclave is microprocessor-controlled and completely automatic through every stage of the cycle. Four programs are fully adjustable for sterilizing solids, liquids, and absorbent materials.

The 2540EPK offers temperature selection from 105 to 137°C (221 to 279°F) and a sterilization time to 59 minutes. It also features a low-water signal, stand-by heating, an ASME-stamped 316L stainless steel chamber, and easy installation - no plumbing or hardwiring required. Built with a heat-insulated, double-locking door, and electronic temperature and pressure sensors to ensure safe operation.
