This portable detector features a telescoping wand to assess gamma and beta radiation in hard-to-reach areas and to reduce operator exposure. Two built-in energy-compensated sensors accurately measure gamma radiation from the micro-R range to 1000R/hour. The low-range detector has a thin end window for the noncalibrated measurement of beta radiation. The unit offers seven measuring ranges, controlled by a rotary dial. The wand extends easily to 3.6m (12’) and collapses to 91.4cm (36”). The main housing has solid state construction and cast aluminum casing with polyurethane finish; probe is stainless steel.
