These glacier white biosafety cabinets feature a unique interior-mounted, line-of-sight LCD information center that displays icons for at-a-glance monitoring of activities including filter loading, disruption in airflow, and cabinet components in use. A bar graph displays percentage of remaining HEPA filter life. A status line gives specific feedback on alarm conditions such as when the sash is too high. An alert warns when the filter life diminishes to 20% or when there is an airflow change such as an inlet grille or exhaust outlet obstruction.

Filter monitoring system consists of an electronically commutated motor (ECM) that is programmed to deliver the precise volume of air as required and automatically adjusts as filters load, without relying on airflow sensors. Built-in ECM consumes 60% less energy, provides cooler and quieter operation, and more power for increased HEPA filter loading. Smart-Start* system allows the user to program, start up, and shut down operations such as activation/deactivation of blower, fluorescent and optional UV lights when the sash is opened or closed. Night-Smart* system idles the blower at 30% speed when the sash is fully closed to help maintain a clean, particulate-free environment inside the cabinet during periods of non-use. Cabinets also feature a built-in interval or elapsed timer for UV light control or experiment monitoring and touchpad control for manual activation of blower, light, timer, audible alarm mute, and menu selection.

Cabinets are constructed with a durable epoxy-coated steel exterior and a stainless steel liner with removable, stamped one-piece dished work surface. A curved stainless steel inlet grille gently supports the user's forearms. Glare-free fluorescent lighting is located outside the contaminated work area. Cabinets also feature a fully-closing, clear 6.4mm (¹/₄") thick tempered safety glass sash with two small sculpted sash handles, a counterbalanced anti-racking mechanism, and a 10° slope. An electrical duplex receptacle with ground fault interruption and stainless steel splash cover is located on each side of the cabinet. Electronic security lock with optional activation requires a code to operate the cabinet. Supply and exhaust HEPA filters are 99.99% efficient.

Cabinets are available in either Type A2 or Type B2 (total exhaust) benchtop models. Models with service fixture(s) also include a UV lamp for secondary decontamination.
