Laboratory hoods feature sashes on two sides that, when mounted in an island or peninsular configuration, provide unobstructed viewing from either side during chemistry demonstrations or observing students using the hood. These hoods may also be installed in the wall between two rooms. An audible alarm sounds when both sashes are opened at the same time.

Ergonomic air foils allow air to sweep the work surface for maximum containment. Clean-Sweep* airflow openings pull inflow air from under the airfoil so that clean air continually flows over the airfoil, creating a constant barrier of protection from contaminants. Upper baffle efficiently directs airflow to the interior center. Bypass airflow design ensures relatively stable face velocities. The 25.6cm (103/32") I.D. exhaust connection is made of epoxy-coated steel.

Durable frame is constructed of dry powder epoxy-coated steel and aluminum. Chemical-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced composite panel liner surpasses all national codes for flame spread and has a bright white surface for excellent light reflectivity. Front and side panels may be easily removed for lamp replacement and access to sash weight and electrical supply connections. Clear, vertical-rising tempered safety glass sashes and streamlined corner posts provide maximum visibility. An optional 38.1Wx61Hcm (15x24") tempered, safety glass viewing window can be mounted on the right side for enhanced visibility. An incandescent light, switches, and a GFCI electrical duplex receptacle are factory pre-wired to the hood's junction box. Color: glacier white.

Hoods meet SEFA 1, ASHRAE 110-95, ANSI Z9.5, UL 3101-1/61010-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1 standards. ETL listed.
