Designed for use with the BigEasy v2.0 linear cloning kit, the BigEasy TSA electrocompetent cells provide high transformation efficiency and induction of copy number. This strain, derived from Lucigen's E.cloni® 10G strain, give high yield and high quality plasmid DNA due to the endA1 and recA1 mutations. They contain the mcr and mrr mutations, which allow methylated genomic DNA that has been isolated directly from mammalian or plant cells to be cloned without deletions or rearrangements. BigEasy TSA cells are also resistant to infection by phage T1. Cells have an ampicillin gene integrated into the chromosome and no exogenous plasmids.

Electrocompetent cells require immediate storage at -80°C (-112°F). The control and recovery medium can both be stored at -20°C (-4°F) or -80°C (-112°F).
