Grace’s insect basal medium is suitable for many lepidopteran and dipteran insect cells and their derivatives. It supports Sf9, Sf21, and Drosophila when supplemented with fetal bovine serum.

Hinks’ TNM-FH medium is a modification of Grace’s medium. It contains LAH and yeastolate.
