Disruptors with standard horn apply direct sonication to the sample via a 1.9cm (³/₄") replaceable tip horn. To modify for concentrated, high-intensity sonication, replace the tip with a microtip probe; for indirect sonication, add a cup horn. Dual horn disruptors can process two samples at the same time. Horn design doubles the unit's output, allowing the two 1.9cm (³/₄") solid probes to vibrate with the same intensity as the single horn in standard disruptors.

Disruptors meet requirements for EPA Method SW846-3550, a procedure for extracting nonvolatile organic compounds from soils, wastes, and other solid samples. All models are lead-free in compliance with RoHS standards. UL listed. CE marked. CSA certified.
