Biological sterilization indicators are used to perform sterilization cycle validation. They are created by inoculating spore suspensions of certified population and resistance onto paper strips. Standard spore strips and combination spore strips are 6x30mm. Mini spore strips are 2x10mm in size and will fit into small areas of a device where a standard-sized spore strip cannot be used, such as within a syringe barrel, inside tubing, or under a cap.

When stored under labeled conditions, all spore strips listed have a shelf life of 18 months, except mini spore strips 19872-014, which have a shelf life of 24 months.
